Grade 1
winner Roman Ruler, who was retired after missing a start in the
Breeders’ Cup Sprint (G1) because of a foot condition, is
expected to arrive at Hill ‘n’ Dale Farm in Lexington on
Wednesday, where he will stand for $30,000 in 2006.
A career earner of $1,220,800, Roman Ruler counts four graded
stakes wins among his five career victories. After missing the
Triple Crown with a quarter crack, the three-year-old son of
Fusaichi Pegasus out of Silvery Swan, by Silver Deputy, earned
consecutive victories in the Dwyer Stakes (G2) at Belmont Park
on July 4 and the Haskell Invitational Handicap (G1) at Monmouth
Park on August 7. |
